The Forbes Diamonds 2023: Biostat among the TOP 100 most dynamically developing companies.

Biostat was featured in the top 100 of the Forbes Diamonds 2023 ranking of the most dynamically developing companies in Poland, and ranks 15th among companies in the Silesian Voivodeship.

The aim of the Forbes Diamonds ranking is to identify the most dynamically developing Polish companies that have achieved the highest value growth over the last 5 years. The Forbes editorial team prepares the list of companies in collaboration with Dun & Bradstreet. The list is based on the Swiss method of valuing companies, taking into account financial results and asset value from 2017-2021. The ranking includes companies with positive financial results, not in bankruptcy or liquidation, and with a risk coefficient lower than 4, assessed according to the rating.

The organizers award companies in three categories, according to revenue from sales in the last fiscal year:

• small companies with revenue from sales of PLN 5-50 million

• medium-sized companies with revenue from sales of PLN 50-250 million

• large companies with revenue from sales above PLN 250 million.

In the category of companies with revenue from sales of PLN 5-50 million, Biostat ranked 83rd in the national ranking and 15th in the regional ranking.

"It is a great honor for us to be among the most dynamically developing companies in Poland. We are particularly pleased that we managed to achieve a growth in sales value in such a difficult period of turbulence associated with the coronavirus pandemic. The financial results of Biostat are the result of the hard work of our team and our consistent focus on innovation. Today, Biostat is at the forefront of Polish companies providing innovative solutions for the clinical research, healthcare, and telemedicine markets," comments Rafał Piszczek, CEO of Biostat.

During the period considered in the ranking, Biostat conducted commercial and non-commercial clinical trials for such corporations and institutions as Adamed, Astra Zeneca, Chiesi, Pfizer, Polpharma, Servier, Takeda, the Medical University of Warsaw, the Wrocław Medical University, and the National Oncology Institute. The company also launched the telemedicine platform HaloDoctor.pl and began preparations for the implementation of the Medfile software on Western markets.

It should be added that in this year's Forbes ranking, among companies that recorded at least a 10% increase in value, there were 11,819 companies, and our company was included in the top 100.

"We are very pleased with our presence in the ranking. Our stable and trusted team is the key asset of the company. For years, Biostat has been focusing on people, which is our greatest asset. Looking at the last 5 years, our current position in the ranking would not have been possible without the commitment of our team, and we should direct our thanks to this team. Our development strategy assumes a stable and regular investment plan in innovative solutions. A high position in Forbes Diamonds confirms that this strategy is effective," comments  Ewa Tkocz-Piszczek, PhD, member of the board and shareholder of Biostat.

Ewa Łuniewska, Vice President of the Management Board of ING Bank Śląski, which is a partner of Forbes Diamonds, commented on the results of the ranking, also pointing out the ability of Polish companies to adapt in difficult economic conditions.

"In recent years, unforeseen events have occurred, the negative effects of which have been felt by most of the world's economies. However, macroeconomic data shows that Polish companies have coped well with the challenges of 2020-2021, as well as with new phenomena such as the energy shock or high inflation. The increasing unpredictability of the business environment encourages investments that will immunize the company for the future. Being present in the Forbes Diamonds ranking is evidence of courage and effective business strategies tailored to turbulent times," said Ewa Łuniewska in Forbes.
