For the market leader in gas in Poland, Polish Oil Mining and Gas Extraction S.A. (Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A.), we have developed analytical models and algorithms for estimating and forecasting the quantities of gas consumed by individual and institutional customers, as well as models for forecasting global gas consumption. The project concept aimed to estimate models and algorithms and implement mechanisms to update parameters, considering historical trends, individualized data, and weather parameters. Parameter model updates were developed in the form of a self-learning mechanism that, with changes in parameters, the passage of time, and data set updates, automatically determines optimal model parameters for each target client.
